About Send links
A Send link shares a piece of text or a file with anyone, even people without DreyVault. It expires on its own and can be limited to a number of views or protected with a password.
Opening a Send link
Send links point to the sender's own DreyVault server, not to this website, for example https://vault.example.com/…#…. Open the link exactly as you received it. If someone sent you a link to this site instead, ask them for the original link.
Why this site never sees them
The key that decrypts a Send is in the part of the link after #. Browsers never send that part to any server, so neither the sender's server nor this website can read what was shared. Your browser decrypts it after loading the page.
If a link doesn't open
- It may have expired, reached its view limit or been deleted by the sender.
- The link may have been cut off when it was copied. The part after
#is required. - The sender's server may be offline. Only the sender can help with that.
